Scholar Jenkins, MS, attended the Southern University and A&M College in Baton Rouge, LA, and was awarded her Master of Science degree in mental health counseling in 2006. She is also a Mental Health Counselor Recreational Therapist. She feels that her success is attributable primarily to her counseling in college, when she was originally pursuing an engineering degree. Without God and her family, she doesn’t know where she’d be. Her late husband was a huge support and help in getting her to where she is with her practice. Her children continue to motivate her to push harder.
